An event for everyone, “Race Condition” on Friday is a fun coding competition where small teams of programmers compete head to head on the big screen(s) in a knock out tournament to see who can solve Python coding problems in the shortest amount of time - all while being cheered on (and distracted by) a crowd of their peers.
Attendees who have participated in “Code Wars” events at previous Kiwi PyCons will recognise elements of this event.
Compete
Group up and test your skills on the big screen. Small teams of no more than 4 people will be formed on the night.
Watch
Both teams’ screens will be projected overhead so the audience can watch their progress in real time. Grab a drink and enjoy the spectacle!
Drinks & Snacks
Complimentary food platters and a Cash Bar with refreshments will be available on the night.
Additional Details for Prospective Competitors
Teams of no more than 4 people will be formed on the night depending on total number of participants.
Teams will compete using the laptop provided - preconfigured with a modern python 3 ecosystem.
